Through high-quality instruction and positive participant experiences, you will help athletes build fundamental and sport-specific volleyball skills in a safe, supportive, and fun environment.</p><p>You will connect with participants, families, and teammates in ways that bring the Gen H Lifestyle to life, fostering confidence, enjoyment, teamwork, and a sense of belonging through volleyball. Seek new and innovative ways to generate revenue while balancing our commitment to the community.</li><li>Be a knowledgeable and proficient user of the Avocado system or equivalent registration and booking system. Escalate and seek resolution for system issues with TechShare Group (AVO) and communicate the details with the team.</li><li>Communicate all resourcing requirements to the operations, fitness consultants, guest services and other departments and clients including: staffing requirements, space, times, set up, adjustments for the regular field of play spaces.</li><li> Monitor and support the team with the implementation of the quarterly updates to the drop-in schedule for court sports.</li><li>Collaborate and cross train with Vivo team members to acquire the knowledge and skills to effectively perform each other’s role and responsibilities.</li><li>Monitor and put forth recommendations for rental trends, pricing and best practices.</li><li>Be willing to adapt and change customer service delivery, process and procedures to be lean and customer oriented.</li><li>Provide recommendations for facility rental process improvements and operational policies that center’s around the customer experience and increased productivity.</li><li> Track and monitor all bookings &amp; sales revenue; weekly, monthly and annually and provide an update as to the discrepancies and areas of opportunity.</li><li>Participate in the development of the facility rental’s annual operational budget and understand and monitor key components that influence targets and revenue generation.</li><li>Participate in partnership planning with sport partners to align tournaments, performance with everything organizationally.</li><li>Support the team as needed with set-up of spaces for rental groups.</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>&nbsp;Post-Secondary Diploma and/or University Degree in a related field is considered an asset.</li><li>Proven customer experience skills in a high paced, dynamic environment.</li><li> 3-5 years’ experience in a detail-oriented role of event planning, sales or booking.</li><li> Previous facility rental experience is an asset.</li><li> Current Intermediate (Standard) First Aid and CPR-C/AED certifications.</li><li>Valid Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search completed within the past 2 months.</li></ul>]]></description>

Our team’s three big tasks over the next 5-10 years is to help bring the Gen H movement to life through the Gen H Lifestyle Experience, Gen H Play Project and North Calgary a Complete Community Initiative.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p><b>Role:</b></p><p>As Expert, Climbing, you are responsible for assisting with the co-creation, development, resourcing, delivery, evaluation, performance and evolution of climbing offerings.&nbsp; You will create and connect with our customers, community and employees in ways that are impactful in driving and advancing our cause.&nbsp; You will re-imagine, oversee and participate in evolving all aspects and functions of climbing’s daily operations to bring the Gen H Lifestyle to life. You’ll lead and build accountability and capacity in the climbing team to deliver strong results and impact.&nbsp;</p><p><b>Reports to:</b> Sport Coordinator</p><p>Shifts: maximum 2 evenings a week from approximately 4:00-9:00 Saturdays &amp; Sundays 8 hour shifts</p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><p>•<span> </span>Oversee all aspects of climbing offerings including curriculum based and play based experiences, school activity days and participation in the delivery of special events</p><p>•<span> </span>Explore, experiment and recommend new ways of building play based/ spontaneous experiences for the climbing area through a service design lens and build capacity in the team to do the same</p><p>•<span> </span>Track, monitor and report spontaneous usage and impact; weekly, monthly and annually</p><p>•<span> </span>In collaboration with all other Innovation Team Coordinators, continuously test and tinker, evaluate, recommend and design experiences for the climbing area and work on generating intentional value for our pass holders&nbsp;</p><p>•<span> </span>Assist with developing business cases for the design and implementation of play based and curriculum-based learning experiences for the climbing area</p><p>•<span> </span>Build strong relationships with our climbing audiences to determine their needs, what they value and translate learnings to the team to test and implement the overall Gen H Lifestyle experience.&nbsp;</p><p>•<span> </span>Participate in re-imagining the climbing experience development process through a service design thinking lens and then implement and build capacity in the climbing team to do the same</p><p>•<span> </span>Assist in seeking out and exploring trends and practices. Ex: experience and place making for climbing based and outdoor environments, new ways of experience delivery, equipment lifecycles and maintenance, etc and recommend solutions</p><p>•<span> </span>Integrate and implement learnings and evolutions into climbing team’s work in “real time” as a result of experimentation and testing</p><p>•<span> </span>Be accountable for the development, progress and evaluation of work-plans and performance targets for the climbing team</p><p>•<span> </span>Recruit, mentor and performance manage the team utilizing Human Resources best practices to ensure a high-performing team</p><p>•<span> </span>Empower and hold the climbing team accountable for achieving established work-plans and targets through the regular follow-up, feedback and coaching</p><p>•<span> </span>Assess, revise, and revamp operational policies, procedures and training manuals to ensure they are aligned and support the new business model and team practices</p><p>•<span> </span>Perform regular scheduling and payroll 13 part time positions: climbing wall attendants, climb wall instructors and 4 volunteers</p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><p>•<span> </span>Post-Secondary Diploma and/or University Degree in education, experience and place making recreation, management, business, etc.&nbsp;</p><p>•<span> </span>2-3 years progressive experience in climbing curriculum and environments</p><p>•<span> </span>1 -2 years of climbing leadership, training and supervisory experience</p><p>•<span> </span>Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C/AED certifications</p><p>•<span> </span>Required climbing certifications as designated by Vivo&nbsp;</p><p><br></p>]]></description>
